Alpenrose Dairy , a leading producer and deliverer of milk to homes, schools, and business, is seeking a dedicated Distribution Manager to join our team in Clackamas, OR . This is a critical role responsible for supervising and training drivers for our Home Delivery and Direct to Store divisions. The typical hours are Monday - Friday, 4:00am - 1:00pm.

Minimum qualifications:

• At least 5 years' experience in Distribution Management
• Skills: proficient in Excel and routing proficiency
• Traits: curious, problem solver, innovative, promotes positive moral, collaborative, communicative, and detail-oriented

Essential duties/responsibilities:

• Supervises associates to include, but not limited to staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Assists in scheduling as well as ensuring deliveries and pickups are made in a timely manner. Rides with drivers for training and/or evaluation purposes.
• Manage overall day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions, which may include payroll, driving logs, identifying and resolving problems, and ensuring that drivers are compliant with safety and our high standards of service extended to all customers.
• Ensures drivers fulfill duties safely by monitoring vehicle safety, safe usage of ramps and handcarts, seat and weight belt use, and safe lifting and product-handling practices. May attend quarterly safety meetings.
• Ensures accurate completion of all delivery and driver-related paperwork including tablet work, bill of ladings, trip reports, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR), and driver qualification files and accident reporting.
• Works in conjunction with Distribution team to minimize operating expenses and to ensure all deliveries are efficiently routed.
