Looking for someone that's alright to work hands on with equipment in a production environment.Schedule: 7:30 AM start time then depending on if they take a lunch leave at 3:30 or 4:00 PM
They need dedicated and detail-oriented Print Shop Finishing Specialist for a 3-year contract role in our Urbandale, IA office.
This role is 100% onsite, requiring a strong commitment to maintaining high quality and speed in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and expectations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Perform offline finishing tasks for a print shop, ensuring high-quality output.
- Paper cutting
- Book tabbing
- Wire-bound book making
- Industrial folding
- Manual mailings
- Ensure all finishing processes meet the company’s quality standards.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Utilize provided technology and systems effectively to complete tasks.
- Proficiency in using MS applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and Outlook.
- Ability to operate print shop equipment such as paper cutters, tabbing machines, wire binding machines, industrial folders, etc.
- Basic computer skills to operate company-provided laptop and software.
- Prior experience in a high-volume print shop environment.
- Familiarity with workflow management and productivity tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues with print shop equipment.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
- High level of dedication and reliability.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Exceptional focus on quality and precision.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
