Purpose: To aide the physical therapist in patient care and documentation as well as maintaining a clean and organized atmosphere for patients to receive treatment.
Skills and abilities required:

Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist assigned therapist with maintaining patient flow in the gym including detailed exercise instruction and observation with personalized care and attention to detail
- Assist therapist in application of modalities ranging from moist heat, ice, electrical stimulation, traction, ultrasounds at the discretion of the therapist
- Maintaining open lines of communication between the therapist and patient to ensure all needs are met and treatment is aimed at patient’s goals
- Notify therapist of any concerns of the patient; when the patient is in need of therapist attention/care
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic with rotation of daily and weekly cleaning duties (see separate list)
- Perform opening/closing duties of the clinic to begin or close out the day
- Assist in maintaining patient safety of the clinic by checking and maintaining temperatures of the hydrocollator, pool chemicals and temperature, etc
- Maintain appearance of gym, treatment rooms, overall clinic
- Updating of flow sheets during and following patient visits, preparing home exercise programs

Pay: From $10.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
