Alpha Q, Inc. is Hiring a Tool Crib Attendant Near Colchester, CT
- Maintain tool inventory for manufacturing shop floor
- Preset and issue tools to machinists
- Prepare tool requisitions
- Visually inspect condition of returned tools and appropriately route for necessary sharpening/repair
- Organize, store, and maintain tool crib inventory and materials
- Monitor and manage inventory for tool vending machine and first aid cabinets
- Update material safety data sheets via online management system
- 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing shop floor setting preferred (will consider someone with technical training or education).
- Working knowledge of tools and/or machining found in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Highly organized and able to cross train in different areas of the shop
- Punctual, reliable, and willing to work overtime as deemed necessary by supervisor to meet customer demands
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
Compensation: We offer a very generous compensation package and our benefits package includes, health, dental, 401K plan, vacation, and life insurance.
Hours: First Shift is 5:30AM – 4:00PM, Monday – Thursday with overtime available on Friday as needed
