ERP Functional Consultant - Manufacturing

Are you an experienced ERP Functional Consultant that would like to join a firm where you can work remote and still have amazing camaraderie and teamwork? If you have at least 3 years of ERP consulting experience (preferably with Sage, Epicor, Infor, Dynamics, IFS, etc.), a passion for the customer, and the desire to be part of a talented, supportive team, we may have the role for you! We are a consulting firm with a strong history of growth and success, and we are looking to have experienced Operations Consultants join our team.

In this role you can expect to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. Using both business and technical skills, you will work directly with customers to identify business requirements with sufficient detail and clarity to allow technical solution proposal development. You will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. Additionally, you can also expect to work closely with the sales team to develop and close services projects and maintains customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and ease of on-going support.

Job Responsibilities

SOW Activities and Delivery of Projects

  • Conduct analysis of client business processes and functional requirements.
  • Prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.
  • Analyze data,evaluateexisting application products, andrecommendefficient,cost-effectivesolutions that support client business processes and functional requirements.
  • Document functional requirements, workflow, and system specifications.
  • Become familiar withthe functionsof clients key systemsin order toeasily identify integration points and make recommendations.
  • Delivery of all projects in a defined area; ensure projects are completed at or ahead of schedule, costs are managed to budget, and customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet and/or exceed client expectations.
  • Work with clients throughout system testing and product acceptance phases to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Support sales team with business opportunities by assisting with estimate and proposal generation, performing demos, and responding to customer Pre-sales requests as needed.
  • Manage and support relationships andinstallproducts for existing clients. This includes handling questions, solving problems, writing reports, performing upgrades, as well as ensuring the clients general satisfaction with the software and the company.
  • Promote value billing and efficiency in service delivery.

Functional Product Expertise

  • Develop subject matter expertise on Sage product and serve as an escalation point for any implementation issues.
  • Apply technical and business knowledge to analyze client requirements and match them to system functionality.
  • Perform gap analysis, identifyoptions,and make recommendations on best methods to address gaps including customization, third-party products, process changes and/or other industry best practices.
  • Complete required training and development regarding product versions,updates,and changes within the assigned time frame.

Industry and Best Practice Expertise

  • Develop technical and industry-specific knowledge on an ongoing basis and keep up to date with industry trends and the latest technology solutions.

Knowledge Share with Team and Clients

  • Interact with peers and managers to share knowledge, raise criticalissues,and suggest process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key client/partner/stakeholders to ensure effective communication channels exist and client/partner satisfaction is achieved.
  • Proactively seek/create opportunities to participate in client interactions to share knowledge and ensurethe highestlevels of customer satisfaction are achieved.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, quality assurance or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 3 yearsofSage ERP implementation or implementation of similar ERP solutions (Epicor, Infor, Syspro,Chempax, Workday,ProcessPRO,MS Dynamics)
  • Must have experience implementing ERP solutions within Distribution Manufacturing. Experience working with Bills of Materials, scheduling, Shipping, EDI Integrations,etc
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, required.
  • A consulting background with a record of delivering complex software solutions within defined timeframes and budgets.
  • Strong business expertise, a keen understanding of business needs, and the ability to ensure technical solutions, strategies, and practices, and deliver business and customer value.
  • Experience translating business requirements into solution specifications.
  • Experience leading requirements definition and design sessions through use of interviews, surveys, user workshops, product/prototype demos, etc.
  • Successful track record of delivering on agreed-upon business objectives and performance on key metrics.
  • Ability to effectively document business and technical designs.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong relationship and social skills with the ability to build and manage a strategic external industry network.

This is a remote role that will require a minimum of 25% travel to client locations in the US.
