Job DescriptionAs an Echo Technician, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures. Your role will involve working closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to obtain accurate diagnostic information and ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms, including transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal (TEE) studies.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
  • Obtain accurate and detailed images of the heart and related structures.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists to analyze and interpret echocardiogram results.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the diagnostic process.
  • Adhere to established protocols and standards for echocardiography.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in the field.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field.
  • Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • 2 years of experience as an Echo Technician preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting echocardiograms.
  • Excellent technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
