DAY TO DAY:
As a Customer Service Rep you will speak with patients daily and sometimes insurance companies. We have a dialer that makes outbound calls to patients and we have inbound calls coming from patients regarding their bills. They are emailing, collecting payments, verifying insurance and benefits. They do the soup to nuts process- everything from correcting insurance in the system, finding insurance, adding insurance, calling insurances, ensuring claim was done properly, emailing doctors about cpt codes, contacting billing office managers. If there is a billing issue- you have to then tackle those insurance related issues with the help of the billing follow up. Strong patience is required and you can't be impacted by angry individuals. This role talks to patients.
