We are growing like crazy and have an immediate need for an Inside Sales Representative – Southeast, who wants to learn the industry and grow within the company!

Inside Sales is for driven, confident people who think on their feet and have a proven track record of success as a high performer in sales. This position has the potential to work remotely based upon past work experience, if you are located outside of the Pittsburgh area. 

What we are looking for:

· Full-time Availability. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday. 

· Sales experience. The best candidate will have a minimum of six months experience with Building Automation / HVAC Products. One plus year experience calling on all employee levels in controls and mechanical contracting market segment. 

· Building Automation Controls Experience. With applicable industry phone selling experience, we will consider out-of-town candidates to work from home.

· CRM experience. We use a CRM database to manage our accounts, so it’s helpful if you have experience using one. (We will provide thorough training on the use of our CRM and data entry protocol).

· Computer Skills. We are a MAC based office so general knowledge of Mac OS is a plus and you know your way around office tools like MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

· Confident and engaging personality. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor that is always evident to customers and coworkers. Must easily engage and befriend customers via phone, Skype or MS Teams meeting.

· Organized multi-tasker. alpscontrols.com is a fast-moving environment, you must be able to prioritize tasks and stay organized!

· Natural problem solver. Able to tactfully navigate frequent changes and anticipate, identify, and proactively resolve problems.

· Ability to work with others. We’re a team and we’d like someone that is a good personality fit and can communicate easily within the department and outside.

· Ability to travel. Must be able to travel periodically to visit clients within assigned region.

What your day to day looks like:

· Contact decision makers at existing accounts and present them with new products, new categories and new manufacturers for consideration on future projects.

· Conducting sales conversations with underperforming accounts, based on monthly declining / lapsed account campaigns, as scheduled in sales queue by National Sales Director.

· Generating new business by highlighting prospective new clients.

· Negotiating Project Quotes to maximize profit and win more orders.

· Monitor account sales activity and conduct regular reviews with customers. 

· Participate in morning Sales WIP (Work in Progress) meetings to share results from your best sales calls from the previous business day.

· Respond promptly to all sales inquiries. 

· Build relationships with suppliers / vendors in support of alpscontrols.com.

· Conduct industry research in support of customer sales presentations.

· Enter Sales-related activity into CRM.

· Meet regularly with sales supervisor to discuss progress.
