About The JobThis position oversees a portfolio of ongoing projects within the Tiger Teams initiative, focusing on the analysis of state UI systems and process challenges. The Tiger Teams collaborate with states to identify opportunities for improvement, providing actionable recommendations and allocated grant funding to achieve near-term impacts in the areas of Equity, Accessibility,
Timeliness & Backlog, and Fraud Prevention & Detection. Additionally, the candidate may contribute to establishing a Project and Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) for the Department of Workforce Development.
Daily responsibilities include assisting in project scoping, resource identification, work breakdown structure, and budget management for the broader Tiger Teams initiative. The candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the ongoing aspects of project management, including scope management, resource identification, budget oversight, work breakdown, requirements gathering, scheduling, and reporting for individual projects.
This position entails a one-year commitment for the current Tiger Team engagement, with potential extensions.

A Day In The LifeThe essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Oversee multiple projects to ensure proper management towards successful conclusion.
- Manage large enterprise-type projects that involve multiple internal stakeholders or contracted resources.
- Develop, Monitor, and maintain project plans.
- Define users and project team member’s roles and responsibilities on the project.
- Define user requirements, deliverables, and approvals.
- Coordinate and monitor activities of all stakeholders to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Communicate project status to management and project stakeholders.
- Mentor and provide guidance to lower-level Project Managers including recommending training and experience.
