Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our production team. The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating hydraulic press brakes to bend, shape, and form metal sheets according to precise specifications. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our products.

Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders to determine materials requirements and specific bending procedures.
  2. Set up and adjust press brake machine settings to ensure proper alignment, angles, and dimensions of bends.
  3. Select and install appropriate dies, punches, and other tooling based on job requirements.
  4. Load and unload metal sheets onto the press brake machine manually or with the assistance of material handling equipment.
  5. Operate hydraulic press brake controls to bend metal sheets according to specified angles and dimensions.
  6. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances.
  7. Perform routine maintenance tasks on press brake equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
  8. Troubleshoot issues with press brake machine operation and make adjustments as necessary.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  10. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality targets.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  4. Strong mathematical skills and ability to accurately measure and calculate dimensions.
  5. Knowledge of hydraulic press brake equipment operation and setup procedures.
  6. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  7. Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation.
  8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  9. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  10. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Vocational or technical training in metal fabrication or related field.
  2. Certification in press brake operation or related areas.
  3. Prior experience with CNC press brakes.
  4. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
