Job Title: Air Import Coordinator

Our client, a prominent freight forwarding company, is seeking a skilled Air Import Coordinator to join their team in Atlanta, GA. As an Air Import Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the import process for air shipments, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee air import shipments from initiation to completion, handling the process from start to finish
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and relevant import requirements
• Process and manage documentation for customs clearance
• Provide regular updates on shipment status to both customers and internal teams
• Resolve issues or challenges that may arise during the import process
• Manage billing and invoicing for air import shipments

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in air import coordination, preferably in a freight forwarding environment
• Knowledge of customs regulations and import requirements
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
• Familiarity with airfreight carriers and their rates
• CargoWise experience is an advantage
