Job Title: Air & Ocean Import Coordinator

Our client, a prominent freight forwarding company, is seeking a skilled Air & Ocean Import Coordinator to join their team in Savannah, GA. As an Air & Ocean Import Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the import process for both air and ocean shipments, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee air and ocean import shipments from initiation to completion, handling the process from start to finish
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and relevant import requirements
• Process and manage documentation for customs clearance and import compliance
• Provide regular updates on shipment status to both customers and internal teams
• Resolve issues or challenges that may arise during the import process
• Manage billing and invoicing for air and ocean import shipments

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in air and ocean import coordination, preferably in a freight forwarding environment
• Knowledge of customs regulations and import requirements
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
• Familiarity with airfreight and ocean carriers and their rates
• CargoWise experience is an advantage
