About The RoleStrengthen and promote our PFAS capabilities and services in partnership with a national peer group of Regional Managers, Technical Manager, Sales Manager, Laboratory Directors & Client Services Managers across our USA business. Act as a liaison between the market and ALS staff. Locations: (Middletown, PA, Queens, NY, Holland, MI, Toms River, NJ)
  • Liaison with regulators, committees, government policy makers, accreditation bodies, senior client contacts and academia to ensure alignment between ALS PFAS testing methods and regulatory trends and requirements.
  • Attend and present at workshops, conferences, and client meetings to increase market branding of ALS PFAS capability.
  • Establishing and acting as project lead to coordinate approach and execution of technical research partnership opportunities with clients and academia.
  • Engage with senior management to ensure ALS service offering for PFAS is in-line with market expectation and development.
  • Work with sales and marketing team to ensure that the teams support ALS strategic direction and methods and pricing are in-line with market development.
  • Report agreed KPI’s monthly to senior management and other stake holders.
  • Perform training session to client facing staff on PFAS market trends and technical developments.
  • Engage with other regional PFAS Product leads and global PFAS lead.
  • Participate in the national bid team and become the main internal point of contact related for all major (PFAS > $100k) opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities About you:
  • Client Engagement – Engage with key people within the USA PFAS industry; government, consulting, treatment, and remediation industries to promote ALS PFAS capabilities. Build and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing clients and participate in development of a business plan to increase ALS PFAS market share.
  • Thought Leadership – Key participation in the formulation of PFAS marketing strategy to strengthen our messaging through regular contribution to website content, articles, social media campaigns, conference sponsorships & speaking engagements.
  • Internal Engagement - Partnership with Regional Managers, Laboratory Directors, Client Service Managers and sales staff to strengthen PFAS messaging & contribute to local and regional Client Engagement initiatives to support PFAS product growth.
  • Market knowledge - Forecast PFAS market trends and direction, conduct market analysis of pricing, services and points of difference offered across industry to ensure we remain market competitive.
  • Competitor activity – Monitor competitor activity and obtain a fair understanding of competitors PFAS strategy.
  • Partnership with Technical Manager, Laboratory Directors & Senior Laboratory Staff across USA and the globe to identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimize PFAS analysis methods and operations.
  • Conduct team briefing and internal learning sessions to PFAS specialist laboratory staff as needed.
  • To ensure all duties are performed in accordance with ALS quality procedures.
  • To have an understanding of the company’s major HSE policies.(Health Safety & Environmental)
  • To have an understanding of the company’s safety & environmental requirements as set out in the safety manual.
  • To develop and further improve the safety & sustainability culture within the business unit through strong leadership.
  • To comply with current state OHS legislation.

  • To ensure safe work practices align to ALS requirements for Health, Safety and the Environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Chemistry
  • Established specialist PFAS experience obtained in testing, consulting, academic or research fields.
  • Established professional profile and ability to self-promote leveraging social media and industry networks.
  • Proactive ‘can do’ attitude and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to write engaging content tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Commitment to ‘quality without compromise’ in line with our Quality Management System.
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Established project management and stakeholder management skills to articulate and execute strategy.
  • Experience working closely with local staff and management to influence and drive business improvement.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • A strong level of computer literacy particularly leveraging social media, Microsoft Suite, and ability to learn and leverage business specific systems.
  • Ability to absorb and retain high levels of information.
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally as required.
Physical Demands
  • Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with staff, management, and clients.
  • Able to sit and /or stand for 100% of an 8 hour day.
  • Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate computer and other equipment.
  • Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment.
