position SummaryThe Production Scheduler ensures the manufacturing production process goes smoothly by ensuring all appropriate parts are in place and ready. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-effective flow of our production operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company's products
- Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
- Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
- Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
- Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
- Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
- Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes
- All other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma; Further education or certification is preferred
- Proven experience as production planner
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
- Strong mathematical and statistic aptitude
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
