Position Summary The position will be responsible for creating and implementing training programs and overseeing the development of careers. Sets performance metrics, evaluates productivity, and helps employees create long-term career plans within the organization.
Essential Functions :
  • Maintain all training documentation in hard copy (data entry) and in training database.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPI) for monthly performance reviews
  • Maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology.
  • Work across functions/departments to plan and coordinate monthly training with an emphasis on meeting legal and contractual requirements and improving business performance.
  • Assist employees with promotion process as it relates to training.
  • Proctor advancement exams as needed.
  • Research, identify and coordinate training opportunities for staff.
  • Work across functions/departments to identify training opportunities and needs; work with subject matter experts to develop effective training course material. Liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design.
  • Manage all aspect of training requirements to support sites needs in achieving training compliance
  • Develop, implement, and monitor training programs within the organization.
  • Provide technical training to the staff to ensure compliance with State Conveyance requirements.
  • Create testing and evaluation process.
  • Evaluate the needs of the company and plan training accordingly.
  • Provide performance feedback as it relates to training
  • Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations.
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers.
  • Collaborate with Training Support at other SDC's and look to implement best practices from a trainer’s perspective at site.
Qualifications :
  • Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role within the transportation business.
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • MS office Suite, Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multi-task, excellent written skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Fully knowledgeable with traditional and modern training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of learning and training concepts and principles along with knowledge of adult learning.
  • Possess strong scheduling, Customer relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Fully knowledgeable of the business operation 2-5 years in transportation.
