THE ORGANIZATION

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs approximately 700 persons working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.

COMPENSATION

The below is dependent upon experience and education.

  • Service Coordinator I: $21.01 - $26.78/hr.
  • Service Coordinator IIIB: $24.63 - $31.43/hr. (must possess a master's degree and 1-year social work experience)
  • Service Coordinator IIIA: $27.19 - $34.71/hr. (must a possess a master's degree and 2-years post-masters experience)

The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY

ACRC is seeking a Service Coordinator in the Supported Living Services Unit to provide case management and advocacy for persons with developmental disabilities. This position is currently located in the Sacramento office and may have cases anywhere within the regional center catchment area including Placerville, Yuba City, Grass Valley, Auburn, and Marysville. Typical duties include assisting Clients and their families in acquiring and maintaining assessed supports and services including transportation, vocational training, day programming, education, mental health services, medical care, and independent living training; serving as an advocate for the Client with community agencies; and consulting with and assisting vendors with certifications, applications, and referrals. The Service Coordinator participates in the development of Individual Program Plans for Clients, monitors these plans, and assists in revising them as necessary; completes all required forms, documentation and reports in accordance with regulations and ACRC policies and procedures; rotates officer-of-the-day duties with other Service Coordinators; assists co-workers with special projects, unique problems, vacation and sick relief as required; and provides emergency on-call services, when required.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess: a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field; demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills; and have strong time management and organization skills. One year of professional experience in social work or a related field (preferably in the field of developmental disabilities) is preferred. Other requirements and qualifications may apply. ASL Preferred.
