Typical Hours: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday (must have the flexibility to work the occasional Saturday)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage overall facility operations, including maintenance, security, and space utilization.
- Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Implement and enforce best practices to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement to enhance operational processes.
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory management processes to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and coordinate physical inventories as needed.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to support optimal stocking strategies.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and training programs.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve any safety or compliance issues.
- Collaborate with customer service and account management teams to understand client requirements and expectations.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee the implementation and utilization of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse management and 3PL operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant technology tools.
- Knowledge of food safety, food defense, industry regulations and safety standards.
- All candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management/supervision in a 3PL environment.
- Some experience on sit down forklift preferred.
- Ability to repetitively lift, push and pull 50 pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach.
- Must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
Alta Warehousing & Logistics requires all applicants to undergo a background verification process prior to commencing employment with the company. Employment with Alta is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a pre-employment background check which includes drug screening.
