Quality Assurance Engineer - Intermediate - PSP

Job Summary:

Our client in Brampton, ON is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer - Intermediate - PSP. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for:

Testing of service and quality data feed and vehicle health report type features/applications and trouble shooting of customer field issues for these connected services. Maintaining test plans based on defect tracking and new requirement specifications. Creation of test cases, corner cases and perform the Failure Mode Effects Analysis. Performance, ad hoc, functional, stability, user experience and regression testing of new and existing product enhancements which will be performed on vehicles, Bench Top Testers and during road trips and will cover Connected Services, Performance and User Experience tests. Defect creation, clarification, retesting, and verification producing clear, accurate and reproducible defect assessments from which a Developer Engineer can resolve defects. Management of defect reports and tracking, communicating to appropriate teams and management. Ecims Management. The engineer shall write and modify test cases as needed for SQDF and VHR. SQDF – is the collection of vehicle diagnostic data that is uploaded from the vehicle to the cloud. VHR – is the customer health report (email/web) created using the SQDF upload data. 

Basics:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university. 
  • 3-5 years of design and manufacturing engineering or product development process experience required.
  • Total vehicle sub-system experience.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) required.

Preferred:

  • Experience with CAN is required Experience with connected service.
  • Diagnostic knowledge.
