Join Our Dynamic Pharmacy Team as a Pharmacy Technician! Are you passionate about making a difference in the world of healthcare? Our Clinical Pharmacy Team is on the lookout for a vibrant and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join us in our mission to enhance patient outcomes and promote the safe, effective use of medications.

As our new Clinical Pharmacy Technician you will work remotely with occasional travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Oakland California for important business meetings.

You will focus on 

• Champion Quality Care: Support our team in achieving CMS/HEDIS Quality STAR measures by targeting patient populations with chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and dyslipidemia.
• Deliver Evidence-Based Care: Help our team provide top-notch pharmaceutical care based on the latest research and best practices.
• Be the Voice of Care: Conduct outbound and receive inbound calls to members and providers, addressing gaps in care and promoting adherence to therapeutic plans.
• Be the Go-To Expert: Serve as a contact for clinical pharmacy programs and offer your expertise to medical services, physicians, and project teams.
• Document with Precision: Keep meticulous records of clinical activities and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
• Communicate and Collaborate: Engage with internal and external clinical staff, provider offices, health plan partners, and in-network pharmacies to support our various clinical programs.
• Dive into Data: Assist with data reviews, reports, and presentations related to pharmacy initiatives.
• Tackle Ad-Hoc Projects: Support our team with special projects and other assigned duties.
• Solve Authorization Puzzles: Research, process, and resolve drug authorization requests and respond to related physician inquiries. 

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring

• HS Diploma and 1 year of Pharmacy related experience (Retail or Managed Care) and training required
• California State Board as Licensed Pharmacy Tech required.
• Preferred: experience with CMS/HEDIS Quality STAR measures
• Excellent Communication Skills: You're a pro at both verbal and written communication.
• Tech-Savvy: You're proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Pharmacy Systems Knowledge: You have experience with computerized pharmacy systems.
• Math Whiz: Your strong math, analytic, and problem-solving skills set you apart.
• Independent Go-Getter: You're a self-starter who can work independently.
• Customer Focused: Your customer service skills are top-notch.
• Team Player: You thrive in collaborative environments and build effective relationships with healthcare professionals, practitioners, patients, and families.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements:

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork – Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
