Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of the site Center Manager, the Assistant Center Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of operations at the assigned site. The operations include clinic, social work, rehabilitation and nursing departments, all of which ensure the efficient and effective delivery of health care services at the AltaMed PACE center. The Assistant Center Manager will oversee PACE department supervisors to achieve efficient operations in accordance with licensing, regulatory standards and company policies and procedures. Additionally, the Assistant Center Manager will contribute administrative skills and abilities to the personnel selection and retention process, annual budgets, process improvement efforts and care coordination with internal and external resources

.Minimum Requirements1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Gerontology, Health Care Administration required. Master’s degree preferred.2. Experience in working with Title XXII (licensing regulations) and the elderly population.3. Experience working collaboratively with the following disciplines: nursing, social work, psychology, recreation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, dietetics, gerontology.4. Minimum of three years’ experience in supervisor or management position in healthcare or related field.5. Experience in project planning, developing, and implementation.6. Hand and wrist dexterity to utilize computer.4. May be required to stand for extended periods of computer.5. Ability to sit for extended periods of computer.6. May be required to walk for extended periods of time.

Environment Conditions Critical to Performance:1. Work is based in an office environment, climate controlled through air conditioning.2. May be required to attend off site meetings and other related functions.

Essential Job Functions:1. In collaboration with the Center Manager, responsible for the planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring of the PACE day-to-day activities, operations, physical plant, supplies and equipment.2. Responsible for the coordination and supervision of assigned departments.3. Responsible for oversight of PACE clinic operations, including but not limited to: Hospitalizations; Internal/External clinic encounters as well as appointment tracking; maintenance of mortality data, infection control, and communicable disease tracking reports.4. Has knowledge of process improvement methods and leads process improvement efforts with department supervisors to achieve PACE operation goals by setting priorities, reviewing budget guidelines, implementing job assignments and expectations, and monitoring facility and staff safety. 5. Supports the Center Manager in the facilitation, leadership and monitoring of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings, including oversight of assigned IDT action items, care coordination and utilization of health care services.6. Represents center management by attending required PACE Committee meetings, including QM, UM, Safety, and Participant Advisory.7. Assists in the development and implementation of the annual budget, and reviews monthly operation expenses to assure budgetary compliance and identifies any budget variations as appropriate.8. Assists the Center Manager with managing and monitoring PACE center quality systems, including but not limited to: department policies and procedures, clinical outcomes, cycle time, productivity, and participant satisfaction for continuous service improvement.9. Assists the Center Manager with developing appropriate PACE center processes to improve work efficiency and quality, reduce operational costs and maintain staff accountability by performing and auditing work flow analysis with existing departments.10. Assists with regulatory management, including compliance in all areas of program operations, performance against national benchmarks and established service standards, and preparing the necessary Corrective Action Plan (CAP) as needed and in a timely manner (JCAHO; CMS; DHCS, Clinic; Dept. Of Education; DHCS-Office of Long Term Care; AltaMed).11. Collaborates with the Center Manager to ensure compliance in all areas of personnel management including recruitment, timely employee evaluations, competency assessments, annual physicals and TB clearance, daily coverage, training and staff development, CEU’s, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and procedures.12. Oversees all PACE participant grievances and incidents to monitor quality assurance and achieve prompt resolution and maintain patient satisfaction.13. Serves as an administrative liaison and resource with corporate support departments and vendors/agencies, e.g. contracting, transportation, IT, Human Resources, external government agencies, and community partners.14. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $86,558.10 - $108,197.63 per year
