We are seeking experienced manufacturing working team leads to join our team at both our Altamira Material Solutions and Precision Fluorocarbon locations The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience in a machine shop, mold shop and /or tool room as well as the proven ability to lead others.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Team Leader is responsible for general direction, leadership and team performance of a specific work cell. The Team Leader is a peer to peer leader, responsible for all employees, materials, and equipment within the cell and ensures that all standards, procedures, and policies are followed. This position places a high emphasis on effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, intelligent judgment, achieving and maintaining production efficiency and a dedication to continuous improvement. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides information to Product Line Leader on the team’s progress in meetings, regular emails or reports.
• Assists in performing hands-on production and assembly functions. 
• Maintain visual metrics for accurate and updated communications.
• Trains and develops new team members in the field of manufacturing processes, interpersonal communication and EMLS (Lean) tools while coaching existing team members. 
• Communicates and audit safe practices throughout the shift. 
• Performs in process quality audits throughout the shift. 
• Performs job documentation audits throughout the shift to ensure accuracy.
• Performs shift start-up meetings to communicate current and desired states.
• Works with team members to solve conflicts quickly and effectively. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively participates in Safety Committee and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develops and maintains a team environment through safety, excellence and respect. 
• Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role required.
• Effective working competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point preferred. 
• Demonstrates great inter personal and communication skills.
• Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
