As a Chassis Design Engineer you will be responsible for;

• Designing chassis and suspension systems using CATIA V6.
• Generating 2D drawing packages for fabrication and assembly.
• Evaluating static, dynamic, structural, and thermal-mechanical performances of mechanical assemblies.
• Responsible for component testing and characterization, including developing innovative test methods and data analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers to manage designs, design documents, execute engineering disciplines, and ensure component deliveries.
• Work with various teams for manufacturing, assembly, and operation.

Qualifications;

• 5 years of mechanical design experience with at least 2-3 years of chassis or suspension design experience included.
• Proficiency in design using CAD tools such as CATIA V6 or CATIA V5 and experience with 2D drawings, including GD&T.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (Master's or PhD is a plus).
• Experience with strut, spring, and damper design & development.
• Experience in vehicle engineering, chassis systems design, and component delivery.
• Understanding of hydraulic systems, sealing systems, electrical systems, and system architecture.
• Experience in testing and vehicle development.
• Strong communication skills with peers, management, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Knowledge of automotive program development/release process and long-term schedule planning.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Patent awards.
• CAN & Network skills.
• Experience at automotive OEM or significant Tier 1 suppliers.
• Polarion, Jira, and Confluence experience.
• Simulink software proficiency and hydraulic system modeling.

Salary Range: $100,000-130,000The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
