SUMMARY
The Orientation/Transition Coordinator shall serve as the coordinator for enrolling students into the District’s Alternative to Suspension program. Collaborates with District staff, schedules and facilitates orientations with parents and students. Ensures that parents, guardians, students, and other stakeholders understand the program’s framework. Facilitates goal setting and success plan development. Assigns, schedules, and administers pre/post-test software such as School City to enrolled students. Collects academic and survey data to monitor effectiveness of the program. Effectively transitions students returning to the school environment by collaborating with the school’s MTSS personnel, administration, and other support staff to create a success plan for students. Effectively manages student enrollment database.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Valid Arizona Principal Certificate
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field
Two years knowledge of and experience administering or coordinating RTI, PBIS, RP, Teen Court, AVID training, and/or dropout prevention programs
Three years teaching experience
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend
written/graphic and oral instructions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual English/Spanish
One year of previous supervisory experience
Previous experience working with diverse student populations in an educational or volunteer setting
Previous experience with academic and behavior interventions
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
