We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager of Freight Forwarding to join their team in Los Angeles and drive business growth.

Position Overview: The Branch Manager will oversee and manage freight forwarding operations, covering both air and ocean freight. This leadership role includes full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility, strategic business development, and managing a dedicated team of 12 professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, proven experience in freight forwarding, and the ability to drive growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage freight forwarding operations, ensuring efficient handling of air and ocean freight.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the business from a commercial perspective, identifying new market opportunities and expanding the client base.
• Oversee full P&L responsibility, ensuring financial targets are met and budgets are managed effectively.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of 12, including hiring, training, performance management, and if necessary, making termination decisions.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring operational processes are optimized for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other key stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends and stay updated on regulatory changes to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and achievement of organizational goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in freight forwarding, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing air and ocean freight operations and driving business growth.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in full P&L management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
