Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with clinical experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure the delivery of safe and effective clinical services. Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established clinical protocols.
    • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide treatments as prescribed.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided.
  • Clinical Expertise:
    • Utilize clinical knowledge and skills to provide specialized care to patients with acute or chronic conditions.
    • Stay up-to-date with current healthcare practices and standards, and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education and support.
  • Patient Advocacy:
    • Advocate for patients' rights and ensure their needs and preferences are respected.
    • Promote a patient-centered approach to care delivery.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
    • Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean and safe clinical environment.
  • Teamwork:
    • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
    • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members as needed.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and healthcare delivery processes.
Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in state of practice.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.

Clinic/Ambulatory Care RN
13 week assignment
40 hrs
Mon-Fri, 8a-5p (call may be required)
MUST have an active AK license at time of submission
Nursing staff is responsible for the weekend, on-call, and secondary coverage of the moderate complexity lab which includes but not limited to: phlebotomy, QA/QI of instrumentation, testing of lab specimens, documenting of lab specimens, proficiency testing, and shipping of lab specimens. Nursing is also responsible for respiratory therapy functions such as: pulmonary function testing, peak flow test, 12 lead EKG’s, Nebulizer treatments, and oxygen therapy. Radiology is another function of the nursing staff which includes: registering and editing x-rays in the Nova Rad system, taking of films, editing, transferring, and printing of x-rays when needed, erasing and cleaning of cassettes, and documentation of all radiology studies both electronically and hard copy. Case management is another function of the nursing staff as occasionally the need to assist the referral care coordinator and establish care plans with the patient’s provider.
