With 130 employees, including 50 investment professionals, spread across Boston, Chicago, New York City, Menlo Park, and Manchester, NH, we are growing rapidly and continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing team and AV investment professionals to develop and execute outreach strategies and approaches, marketing materials, and pitches tailored for the RIA audience.
  • Client Onboarding: Facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new RIA clients.
  • Account Management: Ensure long-term RIA satisfaction and retention, looking to grow accounts through more clients, higher re-ups, and investment into new products — as well as satisfaction of their customers.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Regularly report progress, sales forecasts, and market insights to the Head of Business Development/senior leadership. Continually refine strategies based on data analytics.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all business development activities adhere to regulatory standards and best practices, working with our team, consultants, and your own basis of knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development or sales with a proven track record of building asset management relationships with RIAs (and possibly platform financial advisers)
  • Solid understanding of alternative investments, including venture capital and/or similar investment strategies, as well as competitive solutions in the market
  • Exceptional sales acumen, negotiation skills, and a results-driven mentality
  • Deep existing network of contacts within the RIA community
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively
  • Entrepreneurial by nature, with strong sense of ownership
  • Problem-solver, creative thinker
  • Ability to effectively manage and communicate up and across our company, working independently and with team
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; outstanding follow-up
  • High levels of integrity and adherence to company values, compliance, and regulations
  • Possible base options: NYC, Boston, Chicago, SanFran but travel is expected to build/maintain relationships
  • MBA and/or CAIA preferred
  • Active FINRA licenses (SIE and S7/S63 or S82/S63)
