Position
Mental Health Social Worker Join a compassionate team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of adults with mental disabilities. Our client, a non-profit organization, operates a state-licensed residential facility for up to 136 adults aged 18-59. The program offers a structured residence and Outpatient Clinic with intensive mental health supportive services. We aim to empower clients to develop independent skills and improve their current levels of functioning to successfully reintegrate back into community living. Our facility employs a dynamic team of approximately 45 multidisciplinary staff, including Paraprofessionals, Master's level/licensed therapists, Case Aides, Medication Technicians, and more, who provide care seven days a week.
Essential Duties
$29.85/hr - $31.31/hr (bilingual Spanish)
Additional DMH compensation, up to $1,250/month.
Additional InformationFull-Time, Direct Placement, Non-Exempt, Union

Essential Duties
- Conduct mental status examinations and utilize current diagnostic manuals.
- Apply psychiatric mental health theories and practices.
- Provide individual and group treatment for clients with various psychopathologies.
- Serve as the primary therapist and a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Accurately observe and document treatment sessions.
- Understand and apply knowledge of human relationships.
- Work effectively with visitors, police, and community members.
- Assess client statements and behaviors for evidence of antisocial behavior.
- Communicate effectively in English and/or Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in clinical treatment of both acute and chronic mentally ill populations.
- Crisis intervention experience.
- Experience with family therapy.
- Proficiency in treatment and discharge planning.
- Working knowledge of community resources.
- Experience in preparing written client evaluations.
- Bilingual in Spanish or ASL is preferred.
- Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences or related area from an accredited university.
- New graduates with a diploma are encouraged to apply.
- Valid CA BBS registration is preferred.
$29.85/hr - $31.31/hr (bilingual Spanish)
