Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am; Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation; Rotating Shifts

WHAT WILL YOU DO
This individual is responsible for all functions of the Central laboratory's specimen processing department. Primary responsibilities include coordinating department activities to meet the business needs of the organization. Leading the department activities to ensure that each duty has coverage and is being performed effectively. This includes properly processing patient and client specimens, accurately and completely entering all pertinent data into the computer system from test requisitions forms, rapidly and accurately delivering specimens to proper testing departments, maintaining billing and requisition documentation, and effectively communicating accurate information to clients and coworkers. This individual shall maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy our Catholic healthcare systems while performing all job functions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Two years college with Associate degree or BS / BA degree preferred.
Three years experience in laboratory specimen processing strongly preferred.
Three years experience in registration and billing strongly preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Must have strong customer service and organizational skills.
