AFA History: AFA was founded in 2002 by a family caregiver to ensure families affected by Alzheimer’s disease always had a place to turn for guidance, support, and services.
AFA Mission Statement: The mission of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) is to provide support, services and education to individuals, families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias nationwide, and fund research for better treatment and a cure.
Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Coordinator will play an important supportive role in coordinating fundraising resources and promoting AFA’s mission. The coordinator will be an essential member of the team that supports the organization’s fundraising goals through individual appeals and day-to-day donor management. The coordinator will work with Marketing to create social media and website posts and campaigns to promote AFA’s programs, events, and accomplishments. The coordinator will demonstrate initiative, an excitement for creative development work, and a collaborative approach.
