Amalgamated Sugar – Nampa, Idaho

Amalgamated Sugar is seeking to fill multiple General Laborer positions for our factory. These are year-round, full-time positions offering an excellent benefits package. Successful candidates will perform a variety of entry-level tasks within the sugar factory.

Essential Job Functions:

· Work rotating 12-hour shifts- 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. or 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M.

· Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays.

· Be able to communicate both orally and in writing.

· Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull.

· With the use of hands, must also be able to seize, hold, and grasp items. Occasional trunk rotation to the right and left will also be expected, as well as occasional squatting when stacking sugar with occasional forward bending.

· Employees work around dust, frequent exposure to noise, and in proximity to moving machinery.

· Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.

· Work in temperature extremes both hot and cold, indoors, and outdoors.

· Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures, safety signs, schedules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and manufacturing standards and procedures.

· Perform general cleaning operations.

· Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness standards.

· Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent preferred

· Related experience preferred.

· Must be 18 years of age.
