Senior Business Analyst Boise, Idaho

Amalgamated Sugar is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to help drive efficiency and create value along the entire supply chain from Farm to Factory and ultimately to our customers. A successful Senior Business Analyst has an innate desire to create value, tackle complex problems, create structures to capture valuable data, and synthesize actionable solutions with imperfect information. The analyst will work directly with senior leadership in Supply Chain, Agriculture, and Operations as well as internal stakeholders at the factory locations, in other departments, and in the supply chain to create value-added solutions. This position will report to the Vice President of Commercial Strategy.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with all functional areas of the business to develop best practice, automate process, systems solutions.

Build financial models to effectively analyze projects, opportunities, and changes to current processes to quantify financial impacts under different scenarios.

Analyze inefficiencies in data creation and maintenance process and recommend changes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and automation.

Create presentations for internal and external stakeholders that present findings in a concise and actionable way.

Serve as one or multiple roles on projects, such as project manager, system analyst, or subject matter expert. Facilitate both the scoping and execution of projects.

Strong problem-solving skills-ability to understand underlying issues and develop solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.

Minimum five (5) years of experience working in finance, accounting, or a business analyst role.

Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Strong technical skills, considerable knowledge of systems being used currently and standard operational best practices.

Considerable knowledge of accounting principles and operating procedures.

Strong analytical skills and extremely detail oriented.

Self-starter who works well with others, able to prioritize, complete and follow up on assigned projects and tasks.
