Texas ESC Region 16 is Hiring a Possible Future Opening for Learning Leader Near Amarillo, TX

Primary Purpose: To provide for the delivery of technical assistance and professional development in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of activities that address the unique needs of the Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in specialized area. Utilize an effective and efficient planning process based on pertinent student, campus, and district data sources for the purpose of assisting LEAs in instructional improvement and the meeting of LEA and ESC accountability requirements. To support the delivery of statewide TIL training and coaching tools and resources. Qualifications: Education/Certification:Master’s degree requiredTexas teaching certification requiredTexas principal certification preferred Special Knowledge/Skills/Experience:Minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience requiredMinimum of 2 years successful administrative experience preferredExperience appraising teachers and support staff preferredExperience leading successful campus and/or district school improvement initiatives activities (e.g., including site-based processes, writing campus/district improvement plans, budgeting, professional learning communities, and staff development) preferredExperience utilizing student achievement (e.g., state and locally developed assessment data) and teacher instructional data (e.g., classroom walkthrough, appraisal) to inform campus and/or district instructional planning, evaluation, and professional development preferredProven ability to contribute to a team of experienced, talented, and highly skilled professionalsExemplary communication and customer service skills requiredExperience conducting professional development preferred Working Conditions: Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripheralsPosture: Must be physically able to tolerate prolonged sitting, frequent standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting, and standingMotion: Must be physically able to tolerate frequent standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching, occasional drivingLifting: Must be physically able to tolerate regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may require occasional heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds or more)Environment: Must be physically able to work inside; tolerate frequent districtwide travel and occasional statewide travel; regular exposure to noiseMental Demands: Must be able to work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours on occasionRegular Attendance is an essential functionAnnual Number of Work Days: 226
