BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• 1 years of experience in a fast-paced production environment
• 1 years relevant aerospace manufacturing experience, or relevant aerospace trade school certification
• 1 years of hands on work experience Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration and / or Harness Integration experience
• 1 years of hands on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters)

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO).

Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Key job responsibilities

• Assemble with emphasis to detail mechanical / electrical of satellite components, sub-assemblies, and integration of final vehicle assembly fabricating and / or processing materials into complex manufactured products in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment
• Build solar modules, mechanisms and arrays
• Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated and supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
• Identify equipment requirements process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
• You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
• Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
• Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc)
• Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures

Additional Requirements :

Willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts) overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times :

2nd shift : 3 : 00PM - 11 : 30PM

• Shift will vary, depending on program needs
• Flexible working / commuting in between site locations
• Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
• Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50 / hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure.

• Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment

• Demonstrated ability to read, understand and work from engineering documentation or drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
• Experience working with FOD mitigation, ESD sensitive hardware and Cleanroom requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to rapidly change roles / responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,360 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $75,920 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
