AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

Key job responsibilities
The selected individual will be responsible for managing physical security operations, developing post orders, defining security procedures, handling site incidents, working with security equipment, participating in construction projects and to drive day-to-day process improvement activities and managing vendors.
Duties include ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures and participate in re-occurring site audits and reviews and testing new security technologies.
Must have and demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices and strong written and verbal communication.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3 years overseeing security operations and personnel
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • 2 years of experience in security patrolling and reporting
  • 2 years of experience working with security vendors and contractors
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 years of experience in access control and video surveillance software applications (eg. LENEL or C-cure)
  • 2 years of experience working in a facility and observing security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedure, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points.
  • 1 years of experience driving campaigns to reduce nuisance alarms.
  • 1 years of experience working with workflow ticketing and extraction of performance metrics.
  • 1 years of experience investigating accidents, thefts, disturbances, discrepancies.
  • 2 years of experience writing detailed reports.
  • 3 years of experience with excellent verbal and written communications skills in a professional work setting.
  • 2 years of overseeing security sub contractors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction, door repair, fencing, and access controls.
  • 1 years of experience overseeing security construction projects.
Must be able to travel between local locations.
  • 1 years of experience teaching others the proper security processes and methods.
  • Detailed and data driven experiences that exemplify Amazons Leadership Principle
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $46,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $112,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
