Amazon is Hiring an Educational Partnership Program Manager Near Seattle, WA

Amazon is seeking a Program Manager, ideally with a background in education-related partnerships and program management to support local on-the-ground education and career exploration experiences for K-12 students. This role will collaborate with our local education partners, including school districts and non-profits, as well as internal team members to manage and execute education-based events and programs that reach local underserved and underrepresented students.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day program and project management for the team’s priority partnership programs, such as Amazon Career Quest High School Externship program, Amazon Career Discovery Days, and Hour of Code. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborating with internal and external partners to drive successful planning and execution of local education events and programs

• Leading overall project plans, including requirements gathering, event logistics, volunteer recruitment and training, on-site support, budget, payments, etc.

• Identifying any risks to program success, removing roadblocks, and escalating as needed

• Representing the team at in-person events, such as teacher trainings and school-based programs

• Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on engagement, satisfaction, and impact metrics of locally led programming, including providing inputs for internal review documents and budgets

• Updating internal and external stakeholders on progress and results

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree

• 5 years of experience in program and/or event management

• Experience with end to end program delivery

• Experience with customer service and stakeholder management.

• Passion for STEM/CS education and educational equity

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes

• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

• Self-starter, with proven experience of working on program/projects independently with minimal oversight.

• Innovative; loves to challenge status quo and improve on behalf of our customers and partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working in education or in supporting educational non-profits, especially those with a focus on equity.

• Demonstrated experience working with school district and non-profit partners.

Location: Seattle (Hybrid)

Contract Length: 10 months

Pay Range: $60-$67 per hour
