DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to play a key role on the Infrastructure Central Finance team. This team is responsible for planning and tracking billions of dollars of investments and operating expenses in data centers, servers and networking equipment and that allow AWS to serve customers across the globe.
This role will be responsible for driving insights and analysis that will help shape the AWS investment strategy in servers, inclusive Generative AI. The successful candidate will lead a team to build scalable analyses, key performance indicators, and insights that will be shared with AWS Business and Finance Leadership to inform decision making. This position will work closely with multiple stakeholders in finance, product development and supply chain across the organization to align on critical inputs, ranges of outcomes, and confidence intervals. This is a high judgment role that has direct exposure to Amazon’s C-suite and board of directors, requiring someone who can execute without structured guidance, navigate ambiguity, and effectively deliver results in a fast-paced environment. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5 years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
