DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage a team of other program managers and be working with a unique and gifted team developing exciting products for consumers and collaborate with a variety of cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for driving high-visibility programs associated with the end-to-end development of a new product line. Your primary focus will be to own strategic programs and interactions with functional leaders in the team.
You will spend time with these stakeholders to better understand their needs and how to scale existing processes to accelerate inventing on behalf of our customers. This high visibility role will impact the success of the business launch and how our customers experience this new product. The position requires strong cross-functional planning, problem solving, and communication skills. Management experience a plus. A track record of delivering results in a fast paced, dynamic environment is a must. Being self-driven, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities is a key to success.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, Science, Quality, UX, and more to execute and deliver the product strategy, vision, and roadmap;
• Work closely with all stakeholders to optimize the launch plan for a new product;
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and QA to evaluate the performance and quality of existing requirements and surface opportunities for improvements;
• Have an intuitive understanding of optimal versus sub-optimal customer experiences, with ability to quickly identify solutions to improve/fix;
• Look for synergies between teams in the organization and make recommendations on how to implement new ideas, mechanisms, and scale existing ones;
• Liaise with all teams to ensure relevant areas are engaged in time to develop deliverables within their area to support project deliverables;
• Support partner teams to refine processes and increase efficiency in line with program objectives.
• Track delivery against program objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- 2 years managing a team
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $254,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
