Amazon is Hiring a Principal Technical Program Manager, Digital Acceleration Near Bellevue, WA

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Technical Program Manager to join our team. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for driving mission-critical programs that contribute to the success of multiple strategic senior leaderhip goals. This role requires a proactive leader who can take ownership and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including business program managers, software engineering managers, and developers.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of digital orders including order hydration, customer eligibility checks, payment collection, and order fulfillment.
- Collaborate closely with upstream systems such as catalog and pricing, and downstream systems including digital royalties and financial record-keeping.
- Drive and manage multiple high-visibility programs aligned with strategic goals set by Senior Team and VP level executives.
- Write and communicate effective program review documents and status reports with direct visibility to Directors, Vice Presidents, and Senior Vice Presidents.
- Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment and successful execution of programs.
- Uphold Amazon's core leadership principles including Earn Trust, Are Right a Lot, Think Big, and Deliver Results in all aspects of program management.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Amazon Digital Acceleration powers ordering, subscriptions, and device management for Prime, Amazon Video, Music, Audible, Alexa, and Kindle, amongst other digital businesses. We process billions of digital purchases every year and enable our digital businesses to grow their businesses worldwide. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related area from an accredited institution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8 years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- A masters degree in Computer Science or Business (MBA Preferred) from an accredited institution.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
