DescriptionAmazon Worldwide Real Estate Growth and Development (WWRGD) is looking for a Program Manager with retail design or construction experience and proven project management record to own strategic, tactical, and cross-functional projects within the Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) network. This is a key role to the execution and management of requested changes to new and existing stores. It will be the primary POC with business leaders and provide project support and coordination with WWRGD Design, Construction, Finance, and Capital Planning teams. The role will create project plans, develop processes, drive execution, and manage communication to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Key job responsibilities
- Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering projects for the assigned portfolio
- Work directly with external providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions
- Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery
- Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate
- Influence design and development of strategic processes
- Innovate to improve processes and continuously remove cost from our launches and operation
- Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
- Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence business decisions
- Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers
- Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence
- 3 years of program or project management experience
- 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- 3 years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3 years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
