As a security leader, you will own building and managing a team of security engineers and fostering a strong team culture. You know how to prioritize, communicate clearly, and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong team. Passion for empowering builders and the developer community is essential, as is a high level of ownership and accountability.
As a leader of the team, you will be securing the developer systems that Amazon teams use to consume, build, operate and ship software worldwide. Use your deep insight and passion for security, along with your proven leadership skills to drive transformative changes for how thousands of Amazon teams develop and ship secure software. You will dive-deep into how software teams operate to develop innovative solutions to tackle emerging threats to Amazon’s Software Supply Chain. This will require you to partner with Amazon businesses and technical teams across Amazon and learn from industry-best practices (and failures) to contribute to trust in the worldwide digital infrastructure.

Key job responsibilities
- You will lead, manage, and develop a team of Security Engineers and Technical Program Managers responsible for Software Supply Chain Security for Amazon services.
- You will lead the strategic direction and evolution of the Software Supply Chain Securityteam, including setting goals and establishing priorities.
- You will set the direction for the team by driving strategic initiatives, influencing leadership, key stakeholders, and partnering with teams throughout Amazon.
- You will develop a healthy and collaborative culture and enable the team to deliver results.
- You will lead effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
- You will write and deliver high-quality documents for technical and non-technical audiences.
- You will drive the adoption of security processes, automation, and tooling to improve operational efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience leading, managing & developing high performance teams.
- 5 years of progressive experience within a software security team or similar operating environment.
- BA/BS in computer science, information security, related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on knowledge of information security technologies such as security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques.
- Experience architecting, securing, and operating Amazon Web Services
- Experience managing remote team members.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts
- Information security professional certifications encouraged (SANS GIAC, CISSP etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $157,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $272,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
