DESCRIPTION
The Fuse tech team is an innovative and high-energy team that is working on Amazon Fuse, a wholesale subscription service that enables 3rd party enterprises with billing and distribution capabilities. Fuse has created a one stop integration point for service teams (e.g. Prime, Music, Video, GiftCards and more) to be able to offer their subscription services through the top global partners who collectively offer subscriber billing services to more than 4B consumers. While we use existing Amazon systems when possible, you’ll be working on challenging problems that need innovative solutions.
As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with partner teams (Prime, Music, Prime Video, Subscriptions, etc.), owning major deliverables across all aspects of development: scoping, design, implementation, and testing. Successful candidates can multi-task, quickly adapt to new development environments, learn new systems, create reliable/maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems. In addition, the candidate will be leading the OE space of 2 sub-teams, and be responsible for external-facing tech documentations.
The ideal candidate is excited about technology and passionate about learning and should view every customer interaction as an opportunity to create an exceptional customer experience. In particular, the candidate shall have good understanding of LLM adoption and the passion to learn and develop systems around LLM to business purposes.
Key job responsibilities
- Force multiplying by dealing with early stage projects and ambiguities, providing feasible technical advises.
- Leading tech teams towards higher bar in Operational Excellence; creating/improving mechanisms allow autonomous decisions.
- Continuously learning and adoption of new technology and practice; influencing the organization to improve.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience leading and influencing your team or organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
