DescriptionHave a passion for food? The Amazon Fresh US Retail team is looking for an experienced Sr. Program Manager who is detail-oriented, self-starter, and passionate about developing strategy and launching products to support the optimization of Grocery pricing and promotion.
This role is both creative and data driven - we looking for someone who can lead strategic programs across a large group of stakeholders. This includes strategy and execution, evolving the program(s) processes and tools, and developing mechanisms for tracking and auditing - all with the goal of delivering the right customer experience. This role combines the need to think big about customer experience, price perception, scalability, and long-term automation, with tactical execution, delivery, auditing, reporting, and conducting reviews.
The right candidate has the ability to build relationships across functional stakeholders, anticipate stakeholder needs and customer needs to plan future work and program deliverables, strong communication skills, a deep sense of ownership, and an ability to shift between strategic thinking and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
Key job responsibilities
  • Design and own the strategic vision for the program(s)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build a roadmap of enhancements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, retail category management, finance, technology, and analytics teams
  • Identify opportunities for improvement or automation in existing strategies or processes and drive development with technical and business partners
  • Craft compelling recommendation docs, launch announcements, senior leadership updates and newsletters
  • Prioritize roadmaps and make trade off decisions in fast-paced changing business environment
  • Build and own mechanisms for business reporting, auditing, and reviews
  • Owning change management processes and communications for effective rollout and updates
Basic Qualifications
  • 5 years of program or project management experience
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • 2 years of data visualization and reports tools experience
  • Experience using SQL to build and audit data queries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
