Amazon is Hiring a Strategic Sales Executive , Amazon Pay Near Seattle, WA

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Pay’s mission is to provide Amazon customers a superior paying experience anywhere they shop. With Amazon Pay we connect merchants with Amazon customers, delivering identity and payment services that remove friction for consumers and help merchants grow their sales. Our objective is to make Amazon Pay a ubiquitous payment option for customers. Today Amazon Pay is available in 18 countries, enabling merchants to leverage our trusted, seamless buying experience to allow more than 300 million active Amazon customers to purchase from them. In 2024 we are embarking on an exciting 5-year plan that allows us to better serve our customers and will increase our presence by 30x.
Amazon Pay is seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales Executive to lead expansion of an emerging vertical. This individual will be responsible developing and executing strategy to increase penetration against a defined target list of merchants. This role requires ability to work complex, long deal cycles to achieve sales targets.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute sell-in strategy for emerging vertical
- Building strategic relationships with defined target merchants at the most senior levels
- Generate deep understanding of vertical needs and pain points and influence cross-functionally to addresses key issues
- Own forecasting and monitoring of vertical pipeline performance, analyzing trends and providing insights to optimize performance, including measuring, and reporting on key inputs and outputs in Salesforce and other reporting systems.
- Communicate results with the senior leadership team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new customers.
- Manage complex contract negotiations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- 7 years relevant professional experience (business development, channel sales, alliances)
- 5 years in in business-to-business (B2B) software, Software as a Service, ecommerce or POS sales
- Proven track record of exceeding growth-oriented performance metrics
- Experience developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Demonstrated project management skills with experience and success leading impactful, cross-functional projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in fintech or payments, or POS
- Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical approach to problem solving and a track record of driving results through continuous improvement
- Ability to navigate an undefined, ambiguous space

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
