AmbaFlex Spiral Conveyor Solutions is Hiring a CNC Laser Operator US (Afternoon Shift) Near Canton, OH
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Afternoon CNC Laser Operator in the Internal Fabrication department at AmbaFlex. As a CNC Laser Operator, you will play a crucial role in producing raw, semi-finished and finished goods to support the operations of the other production departments within AmbaFlex Manufacturing's Canton, OH location. This includes cutting, forming, welding, machining and blasting of metal parts.Afternoon Shift Schedule

- Set up and operate the CNC CO2 Laser (Prima Power Platino 1530 w/4kW Convergent Laser)
- Understands machine setup including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials
- Understands start-up and shut down for laser machines
- Diagnose machining problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed
- Operate overhead cranes, tape measure, calipers, and hand tools
- Can perform laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively, per specifications
- Check Quality of product machined and notify supervisor of process issues
- Operates and navigates in a windows-based computer environment
- Program nesting software to maximize product/material usage
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Perform operator maintenance and/or 6S housekeeping per established schedules
- Perform material handling functions, including loading material for job runs
- Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance
- Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances
- Maintain shop, tools, and other equipment
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 years of experience in a similar position as CNC Laser Operator
- Minimum 1 year of CNC Laser experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment
- Documented training on CNC Laser
- Proficient interpretation of engineering drawings
- Familiar with various production and processing methods in engineering
- Prior forklift experience is preferred
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs., stand on feet for 8 or more hours
- CNC press brake experience is preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
