Job Description:

PPOSITION SUMMARY:

The PhysicalTherapist is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment upon physicianreferral to a patient population consisting of varying diagnosis. The Physical Therapist will assess, identifyand treat all areas of deficits impacting posture, locomotion, strength,endurance, balance, coordination, joint mobility, flexibility, pain andfunctional abilities in daily living. The Physical Therapist provides instruction and education to thepatient/caregiver to promote the safe execution of the facilitatory techniquestaught. The Physical Therapist supportsand contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the HomeCare and Services Departments.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Required:

One year experience in acute care, extendedcare, rehabilitation, mental health or outpatient setting

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

Current Physical Therapylicense from the State of California

Current CPRcertification

Current California Drivers License

Eligible to be insured under the Medical Centers Liability Policy with DMVReport (and minimum age 21)

Proof of current auto insurance coverage (nobusiness exclusion)

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must demonstrate technicalcompetence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivityfor the patient and family. Clinical skills and knowledge to successfullyachieve desired outcomes in assigned patients. Ability to provide treatment to address the practical and realisticneeds and goals of the patient. Must be able to fulfill the essentialfunctions of the position.

PATIENTS SERVED:

This position isresponsible for age-related, physiological, emotional and cognitive needs ofthe following age groups of patients: Pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
