JOB SUMMARY
Technologistsperform procedures and examinations in the radiology department under thedirection of Inland Imaging radiologists and other medical providers to produceradiographic studies which are used in medical diagnosis to locate injuries,foreign bodies, pathological conditions or lesions within the body. Follow Districtpolicies and procedures and well as federal and state regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
•Review and evaluate x-ray information to determine ifimages are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
•Use radiation safety measures and protection devices tocomply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
•Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safetyand comfort during scan.
•Operate or oversee operation of radiologic and magneticimaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
•Position and immobilize patient on examining table.
•Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to setexposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.
•Rotates on call duties as assigned by the departmentmanager
•Document all patient data, code and bill patient data
•Clean and adjust radiology equipment as needed
•Perform related duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Work ExperienceRequirements
•Graduate from an AccreditedRadiology Program
•Must be board certifiedARRT(R), or board eligible
•Must be board certifiedwithin 6 months of hire.
•Certifiedby the State of Washington to practice and administer radiation.
•CTexperience required.
