Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This role is vital to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care by ensuring the effective decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and reprocessing of patient equipment, surgical instruments, and medical supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently decontaminate, clean, sterilize, and reprocess patient equipment, surgical instruments, and medical supplies.
• Stay updated with the latest instrumentation, equipment, and techniques.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment requiring detailed and technical skills.
• Contribute to patient safety and exceptional patient care.
• Work with cutting-edge surgical instrumentation and reprocessing equipment.
• Collaborate as a member of a cohesive team, providing assistance and support to team members.

Minimum Requirements:

• Facility Requirement:
• Traveler must have a permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of Madison

• Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in reprocessing.
• Experience in an Academic Level 1 or 2 Trauma center or a similar-sized hospital.
• Successfully completed a traveler assignment (13 weeks).

• Licensure and Certification:
• Certification by CBSPD as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or IAHCSMM/HSPA as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician.

• References:
• Two completed references from recent work environments/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
