Lumber Yard Associate - 1 year of experience required

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Overview:
As a Lumber Yard Associate, you will play a crucial role in our building products, service, and rental departments. We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual with a basic understanding of building materials to join our team. This is a physically demanding position that requires constant walking, standing, and lifting products weighing up to 100 lbs. You will work year-round, outdoors, in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with their building material needs, providing knowledgeable and friendly service.
• Load and unload lumber and other building materials for customers and deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lumber yard.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely (training provided if needed).
• Restock and organize inventory to ensure product availability.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of building materials and their applications.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions year-round.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
