Job Overview
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects by accurately estimating costs, managing relationships with customers, and supporting various aspects of project management. You will be responsible for ensuring the precision of estimates, reviewing construction documents, and identifying potential risks. Additionally, you will actively participate in pre-construction activities, value engineering processes, and business development efforts. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our company's growth and high reputation in the construction industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Customer calls and follow-ups
•Accuracy of Estimates
•Ensure others review drawings, specification and all other construction documents
•Participate in preparation of construction schedule for estimating requests and discuss staffing requirements
•Participate in preparation of General Conditions estimate and reviews
•Preparation of preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction estimates
•Participate in pre-construction, design development to detect over-runs and potential problem areas
•Participate in value engineering process
•Support Business Development
•Maintain all current estimating records, studies and unit pricing
•Assist Project Managers in evaluating and analyzing subcontractor proposals
•Following instructions
•Keeping up to date on compliance regulations
•Resolving issues related to the project
•Assessing staff performance and provide updates
•Prepare sub-contractor agreements
•Assist Project Managers in buying-out projects
•Assist other estimators and project managers where any assistance is needed.
•Assists with other responsibilities, including but not limited to billings, expense reports, office needs and other work-related responsibilities.
Requirements
  • 5- 8yrs of industrial manufacturing estimating
  • 2-5yrs of hands on industrial work experience
  • Knowledge and experience of a bid estimation software, enabling accurate and efficient cost analysis for electrical projects.
  • In-depth understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and expertise in Low Voltage Systems, ensuring compliance and safety in project estimations.
  • Exceptional math skills, allowing for precise calculations and assessments of project costs and requirements.
  • Strong communication abilities, facilitating effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders throughout the estimation process.
Benefits
The annual base compensation range for this role is between $95,000 and $120,000. The successful candidate's actual base compensation will be based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and professional qualifications.
