ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Leads the injection, team members assigned to the shift and is the first point of contact for operators.
• Ensures team members are working in a safe manner and identifies and corrects unsafe work practices.
• Ensures plant quality standards are being met and maintained by the department.
• Controls the process of multiple machines using written work instructions, visual management, and computer interface.
• Evaluates and improves operator's skill level and assist in training operators.
• Troubleshoots and performs adjustments to the machines to correct improper functions.
• Assists with new machine setups.
• Performs preventive maintenance on machines.
• Reviews process data daily to ensure department is meeting or exceeding efficiency requirements.
• Completes downtime reports and error logs.
• Effectively communicates issues to the shift supervisor, maintenance technicians and operations manager.
• Provides coverage for operator breaks.
• Ensures the department maintains a clean work environment.
